Two Towns in Indonesia, One on the Coast, the Other “A City of One Thousand Rivers”

At a time of globalization and strong impact of large corporations on cities and landscapes, local values require more attention. 

 

Carlien Donkor and Hasti Tarekat, founder of Heritage Hands-On, discuss how to identify local values and include them in urban planning and water management. Hasti gives insight on her work in two cities where she conducted her Historic Urban Landscape (HUL) Quick Scan workshops.
